A little note to say...

Before your treatment...

In the first session with me your medical history and some questions on health and lifestyle will be taken and recorded as part of your consultation, this should only take 10-15 minutes. The information that you give will be treated in the strictest confidence according to the Data Protection Act. It may be necessary in some cases to consult your GP before any therapy can be given but will will discuss this prior to your appointment if a referral is needed.

It is advisable to wear loose, comfortable clothing. If you are having an Indian Head Massage I do use oils in your hair to maximise the benefits to your hair and scalp and oils across from your mid back upwards. You will need to remove your top only with your arms out of any straps. You will be seated with your upper body fully covered with a sheet and towel.

For reflexology, it's all about getting you comfortable on the couch. You'll be fully clothed with just your shoes and socks off. You can be sat up or lying down whichever you like.

All creams, oils and talc are allergen free.

During your treatment...

For reflexology sit back or lie back, whichever you prefer and relax. This is your time that you are paying for and I want you to be as comfortable as possible.

Indian Head Massage is traditionally performed seated and is a wonderfully relaxing massage.

It's okay to fall asleep. it's okay to chat or be silent. This is your time. All I will say is that the more you can relax, the more your body and mind will benefit from the treatment you are having.

After your treatment...

I would recommend that you have time to rest after your treatment or massage in order to enjoy and fully maximise the benefits.  Allow yourself to drink plenty of water and avoid heavy meals, alcohol or caffeine after any therapy as the demands of digestion will divert energy away from the natural healing process.  Light snacks, fresh fruit or raw vegetables are ideal.

For reflexology whilst a single treatment will be enjoyable, the effects of massage are cumulative and a course of treatments will bring the most benefits.

It may take time for the benefits of the therapy to be noticed and for any patterns of imbalanced energy to be altered as some people respond quicker to the therapy than others.

Cancellation policy...

Things happen and life can take over sometimes, this is why I don't have a cancellation policy.

I don't charge you and I never would. All I ask is if you do need to cancel with me just try to let me know 24 hours before your appointment so I can offer your time to someone else.
